About Bears Ears Ultra
Introducing Golden Bears Ears Ultra, the autumn edition of one of the most beautiful courses on the Mad Moose schedule! This 55K, 30K event is hosted in the quiet Abajo Mountains, overlooking Canyonlands National Park and the Bears Ears National Monument. You can even catch views of Monument Valley and the Bears Ears Buttes! Topping out at almost 11000 ft, runners will have wide open views of Southeastern Utah’s canyon country. The course travels through aspen groves on smooth singletrack for sometime, but also contains some very technical trails to keep things interesting. The aspen groves in fall will be spectacular!
Cupless Aid Station Information
That's right! We have gone cupless!
What does that mean?
Hands free water dispensers will be located at the start/finish line and at every aid station.
Runners can use these to fill bladders, bottles
Gloved volunteers will pour sodas/misc drinks into runners' reusable cups.
To further reduce waste at aid stations, runners may bring a small reusable bag or bowl for food to be served into.
Reusable bowls are optional but a great way to reduce waste.
